Streaming giants Netflix will enter live sports broadcasting for the first time ahead of Formula 1’s Las Vegas Grand Prix.
The service, which shows the Drive to Survive documentary, will show the Netflix Cup, a competition between a select group of Formula 1 racers and leading golfers.
Netflix has also found success with the golf documentary, Full Swing, which debuted earlier in 2023.
A mini-tournament will star F1 racers Lando Norris (pictured above), Pierre Gasly, Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz alongside professional golfers Rickie Fowler, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa and Justin Thomas at the Wynn Golf Club at Wynn Las Vegas. Four teams featuring one racer and one pro golfer, will play an eight-hole match with the leading two teams advancing to the final hole.
The event will be live streamed on November 14.
Meanwhile, production is under way on the sixth season of Drive to Survive ahead of an expected release next February.
