We’ll kick off this week’s show by checking out the 2024 Acura Integra Type S. It packs a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 320 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 310 pound-feet of torque available between 2,600 and 4,000 revs. The only gearbox available is a six-speed manual. Acura doesn’t yet have prices, but sales begin in June.
Next, we’ll check out the EPA’s new proposal for emissions regulations that would reduce greenhouse emissions by 56 percent in 2032 versus the 2026 model year. To make that happen, the agency estimates about 67 percent of light-duty vehicles on the road would need to be EVs.
The BMW XM Label Red will be a topic too. It makes a healthy 738 hp and 738 lb-ft from a hybrid-assisted twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8. It can reach 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds. Production begins in August.
The fun begins Wednesday at 7:30 pm Eastern, and we will be LIVE so anything can happen. Check in for the unique blend of automotive wit and wisdom you’ll only find with Bruce and Smith. Let’s roll!
