Mercedes-Maybach is tired of playing it safe with its luxurious limousines, hence the latest mix of all-electric models and two-tone paint jobs. To shake it up a little further, the German automaker is introducing the new Mercedes-Maybach Night Series of S-Class sedan, GLS SUV, and EQS EV SUV, a fairly straightforward approach (save for the new wheel design) with darkened accents and features that make up a new “rebellious” sense of style for the brand. Each of Maybach’s three vehicle offerings gets unique flourishes, but all also come with darkened chrome, dark glossy wheels, herringbone interiors, and glints of rose gold details.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS EV SUV Night Series
Up front on the first all-electric Maybach model, the EQS EV SUV, the Night Series swaps in darkened chrome on the emblem, grille pinstripes, and headlight refinements (with a touch of rose gold on the headlight Maybach emblems). Down the sides, the window surrounds are polished black, as are the running boards which feature a dark chrome emblem of their own, and finished off with a rear roof spoiler for aerodynamic flair.
Two-tone Obsidian Black with Mojave Silver paintwork is available along with full Obsidian Black or full Diamond White finishes. Inside, there’s vegetable-tanned Nappa leather available in white/black or full black with contrast stitching, full interior carpeting, and natural-grain herringbone wood trim with aluminum accents.
Mercedes-Maybach GLS SUV Night Series
The new GLS Night Series exterior gets dark chrome elements including the upright hood-mounted Mercedes star, the grille, and the Maybach emblem patterning on the air inlets; the GLS headlights also feature rose gold details. Dark chrome accents run down the profile as well, resting on massive (and unique) 23-inch Maybach wheels. The GLS is also available in two-tone paint, with Obsidian Black and Mojave Silver available; or you could just get white or black.
Inside the GLS Night Series boasts the same Nappa leather choices of Crystal White and Black Pearl, or just Black Pearl, along with natural grain herringbone wood trim in an open-pore brown finish with aluminum accents. To fill up the available cargo space, Maybach is promising a future collection of matching bags, sneakers, and eyewear for Night Series models.
Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Night Series
Finally, the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class Night Series gets a little more variety in its paint options; grey, black, or white options are available, as is a unique two-tone Onyx Black and Mojave Silver finish. These headlights also feature the rose gold accents, with darkened chrome features dotted around the sedan’s exterior; the tailpipes are also a mix of dark chrome and black. The S-Class Night Series gets Deep White and Black Pearl Nappa leather, or just Black Pearl.
